Eric Idle is a screen veteran of the old school whose career has outlived most of the formats it was recorded on. Work has kept arriving for 60 years, which is its own kind of achievement. 'Shrek the Third' is the entry that tends to open any account of the career. Another entry worth naming is 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'. Viewing habits have changed more than once since the first credit.
