Known for
Dorothy Atkinson is a screen veteran of the old school who has been at it long enough for audiences to grow up watching her. 'Saltburn' remains the reference point, thanks largely to Paula Quick. 'Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler' belongs on any short list of her work. The first screen credit dates from 1997. She has worked in drama more often than in any other register. Work has kept arriving for 29 years, which is its own kind of achievement.
