Across changing tastes and formats, Charles Bateman has stayed an American actor who has been at it long enough for audiences to grow up watching him. He has worked in adventure more often than in any other register. Television and film have both stayed in regular use across the career. 'The Poseidon Adventure' sits at the front of the filmography, where he plays First Officer Larsen. 'How to Murder Your Wife' is close behind in visibility.
