La jove Asuna no pot oblidar una misteriosa melodia que ha sentit pel seu radi, que utilitza com a díode un vidre que li va deixar el seu pare com a record. Poc després coneix en Shun, un misteriós jove que diu que ve del regne subterrani d'Agartha. Però just quan comença a despertar alguna cosa entre ells, el noi desapareix sobtadament.
