宁静的房间内，阳光普照的角落里，汤姆懒洋洋地从睡梦中醒来。他慵懒地趴在窝的旁边，用手边的绳子拉来另一头拴着的小老鼠杰瑞，使唤这个可怜的小家伙为他准备睡后的饮食，期间杰瑞还不得不为其拍后背按摩。懒惰的汤姆，俨然过着帝王一般的生活。就在此时，送货的车来到家门口。汤姆还幻想着这是主人买来的美食，谁知却是一只可爱温良的小猫咪。面对这个不速之客，汤姆自然感受到潜在的威胁，为此他想方设法要赶走小猫，甚至不惜使用各种恶毒的办法除掉对方。
