Takeo Chii has spent most of a working life as a Japanese actor who has been at it long enough for audiences to grow up watching him. 'The Tale of The Princess Kaguya' remains the reference point, thanks largely to Sanuki no Miyatsuko. Another entry worth naming is 'Lady Snowblood'. The filmography reaches back well before the best-known title. He has worked in drama more often than in any other register. 47 appearances between the two screens is the plain arithmetic of it.
