Three years into a zombie apocalypse that has reduced America to scattered survivor camps, a ragtag crew is handed an impossible assignment: escort Murphy, the only man immune to the plague, from a decimated New York to a lab in California that might still hold a cure. Keith Allan's unstable, self-serving Murphy makes for an unreliable cargo, while Kellita Smith's disciplined Warren and Anastasia Baranova's resourceful Addy hold the convoy together across a country gone feral. Unlike its prestige-drama contemporaries, 'Z Nation' leans gleefully into pulpy, low-budget absurdity rather than grim solemnity. It's zombie fiction as scrappy road-trip comedy, fully aware of its own B-movie pleasures.
