Wanda Maximoff and Vision seem to be living an impossibly perfect suburban life, their days unspooling through the decades of classic American sitcoms, from black-and-white newlywed antics to primetime family comedy. But laugh tracks give way to unease as cracks appear in the picture and both begin to sense that their idyllic town of Westview is not what it claims to be. Blending vintage sitcom homage with Marvel mystery, the series slowly peels back the fantasy to reveal the grief and power beneath it. Strange, inventive and quietly heartbreaking, it's a meditation on loss dressed as a comedy.
