Adapted from Suu Minazuki's manga, this post-apocalyptic anime imagines a world where every person's worth is tallied by a visible 'Count' — a number that, once it hits zero, spells oblivion. Hina, voiced by Ari Ozawa, sets out on her late mother's mission to find the legendary Red Baron, only to fall in with Licht, a masked swordsman hiding a scandalously low Count of his own. Their reluctant partnership becomes the engine for a story that mixes fan-service comedy with surprisingly bleak commentary on how societies quantify human value. The mismatched tone won't be for everyone, but the world-building's central conceit is genuinely inventive.
