Only Fools and Horses
“This time next year, we'll be millionaires!”
CreatorJohn Sullivan
Del Boy Trotter sells whatever he can from the back of a three-wheeled van in Peckham, convinced that next year they'll be millionaires. 'Only Fools and Horses' ran from 1981 across seven series and a long tail of Christmas specials, and its 1996 episode drew over 24 million viewers in the United Kingdom — a record for a sitcom there. Written by John Sullivan, it holds an unusual balance: broad physical set pieces alongside a fairly unsentimental account of getting by without money.
