Emma Larsimon writes horror novels about a demonic figure called Madame Duchesne, until the nightmares she's been sending to fictional victims start claiming real ones in her hometown of Elden. Returning home for the first time since she fled as a teenager, she's forced to confront the childhood trauma that's apparently been fueling her fiction all along. Victoire du Bois anchors the series with a jittery, reluctant heroism, surrounded by old friends played by Lucie Boujenah and Tiphaine Daviot who get pulled back into the horror with her. Samuel Bodin's limited series is genuinely unsettling, blurring the line between authorship and possession.
