Kingdom
“One of the strong”
CreatorByron Balasco
At a struggling mixed martial arts gym in Venice Beach, a former fighter trains his fractured family of sons and proteges while battling his own demons. 'Kingdom', created by Byron Balasco for DirecTV's Audience Network, stars Frank Grillo as gym owner Alvey Kulina, with Jonathan Tucker as the volatile Jay, Nick Jonas as Nate, and Matt Lauria as ex-convict fighter Ryan Wheeler. Running three seasons from 2014 to 2017, the drama earned praise for its unglamorous view of the fight business, its physical performances and its handling of addiction, masculinity and family loyalty.
