Based on a short story by V. E. Schwab, who also wrote for the show, 'First Kill' premiered on Netflix in 2022. The single-season teen drama plays its Romeo-and-Juliet premise straight, with warring families, ancient serpents and a Savannah setting, and found a devoted LGBTQ fanbase despite its early cancellation.
