Evil

“Some mysteries can’t be explained.”
7.8 /10 (1,056) 2019–2024
Crime Drama Mystery
Creator Michelle King, Robert King
Forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers) is the resident skeptic on a Church-assembled team investigating miracles and possessions, alongside priest-in-training David Acosta (Mike Colter) and tech specialist Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi), who each bring a different threshold for proof. Michael Emerson lurks through the margins as a psychologist whose interest in the team edges from professional into something more sinister. Michelle and Robert King, coming off 'The Good Wife', apply the same procedural rigor to demonology that they once applied to law, refusing to confirm or deny whether the supernatural is real. It's one of network television's rare genuinely unsettling shows, smart enough to make faith and doubt equally frightening.
