Two high schoolers strike an unlikely bet — she believes in ghosts, he believes in aliens — and set out to prove the other wrong, only to run headlong into both at once. Shion Wakayama voices the occult-obsessed psychic-in-training, while Natsuki Hanae's awkward classmate gains bizarre superpowers after a run-in with an alien, forcing the pair into an escalating string of paranormal showdowns. Mayumi Tanaka and Nana Mizuki round out a supporting cast of spirits, exorcists, and extraterrestrials that keeps expanding the show's mythology. Adapted from Yukinobu Tatsu's manga, it fuses body-horror dread, screwball comedy, and a slow-building romance into one relentlessly inventive anime.

Momo believes in ghosts. Okarun believes in aliens. To make each other believe what they deny, they head to a spot famous for UFO sightings and a spiritual hotspot.

Momo awakens psychic powers, while Okarun is cursed by Turbo Granny. They evacuate to Momo's house, but a giant alien appears before them.

After Momo's grandmother temporarily suppresses the evil spirit within Okarun, she says that a game of tag may be the key to defeating it for good.

Okarun and Momo arrive at the tunnel to confront Turbo Granny. Just when they think they've won, a giant crab spirit crashes through the wall.

As Momo and the others try to pilot the giant Buddha robot and battle the kaiju, Okarun and Jiji are ejected from the robot and land in a rice paddy.
