Drawn from the beloved video game saga, this dark fantasy epic follows embittered monster hunter Trevor Belmont, last of a disgraced clan, as he's dragged into a war against Dracula, who has unleashed a legion of hellish creatures to punish humanity for the murder of his beloved wife. Joined by the scholarly Sypha and Dracula's conflicted half-human son Alucard, Trevor fights to save a superstition-ridden Wallachia from both the vampire lord's wrath and the corruption of the church that provoked him. Gorgeously animated and unflinchingly violent, the series pairs sweeping gothic horror with sharp, character-rich storytelling. Bloody, mournful and grand, it treats its villains with tragic depth.
