Fresh out of prison, a skilled thief tracks his lost partner to a small Amish-country town in Pennsylvania — and, when the newly appointed sheriff is murdered before anyone knows his face, seizes the dead man's badge and identity. Now hiding in plain sight as the law, the ex-con juggles crooked policing, a buried past and a scheme to rob the vicious crime boss who rules the region. Every alias threatens to collapse as enemies from his old life close in on the town he now polices. Pulpy, brutal and propulsive, it fuses noir identity games with jaw-dropping action into one of cable's most gleefully violent thrillers.
