A man wakes from an eighteen-year coma and has to rebuild a life in a Madrid that moved on without him. That premise launched '7 vidas', the sitcom Telecinco aired from 1999 to 2006 and the one usually credited as the first Spanish comedy shot with a studio audience in the American multi-camera tradition. Nacho G. Velilla was among its creators, and the cast rotated across fifteen seasons around a group of neighbours in the same building. One supporting character, Aída, went on to headline a spin-off that ran even longer.
