Robby Benson
Known for
An American actor and singer from Dallas who rose as a sensitive teen-idol lead in 1970s dramas before finding lasting fame through his voice. He is best known as the voice of the Beast in Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' (1991), lending the cursed prince both fury and tenderness. He later moved into directing and teaching, broadening a career that began in front of the camera. Robby Benson remains an affectionately remembered American performer, most enduringly recognized for one of animation's great romantic transformations rather than his early leading-man years.
