Rob Lowe was a founding face of the 1980s Brat Pack, the impossibly handsome juvenile of 'The Outsiders' (1983) and 'St. Elmo's Fire' (1985). Born in Virginia in 1964, he weathered scandal and reinvented himself through comedy, first as the smarmy producer in 'Wayne's World' (1992) and Number Two in the 'Austin Powers' films (1999-2002). Television completed the rehabilitation: the idealistic Sam Seaborn in 'The West Wing' (1999-2003) and the pathologically upbeat Chris Traeger in 'Parks and Recreation' (2010-2015).
