Osamu Tezuka is one more of the people the industry actually runs on, a Japanese screenwriter whose decisions are visible on screen even when the name is not. A 66-year run behind the camera is not a common thing. The film 'Astro Boy' is the credit that gets cited first. He is also credited on 'Metropolis'. The record opens in 1960. He has worked in sci-fi more than in any other register.
