Two teenage siblings, Becca and Tyler, are sent for a week to the remote Pennsylvania farm of grandparents they have never met, while their mother tries to rebuild her life. Becca uses the trip to shoot a documentary that might reconcile her mother with her past, but they soon start to notice increasingly strange and terrifying behavior in the elderly couple, especially after nightfall. With the sole rule of not leaving their room after nine-thirty, the children sense that something is deeply wrong in that house. A found-footage horror film by M. Night Shyamalan that doles out tension and dark humor toward a revealing climax.
