Rapunzel is a young woman with impossibly long golden hair possessing magical powers, whom Mother Gothel has kept locked at the top of a tower since she was a baby, cut off from the world and longing to see up close the mysterious lights that fill the sky each year on her birthday. Her chance comes when the small-time thief Flynn Rider takes refuge in the tower, and the two strike a deal that launches them into an adventure full of dangers, songs and surprises. Disney reinvents the classic tale by the Brothers Grimm in a vibrant, enchanting animated film, with humor, romance and a heroine determined to finally take the reins of her own life.
