Sonic, a blue hedgehog gifted with superhuman speed, lives hidden in a small Montana town trying to go unnoticed among humans, though loneliness weighs on him more each day. A slip reveals his power and unleashes the hunt of the villainous Doctor Robotnik, an evil genius obsessed with capturing him and seizing his energy. With the help of the local sheriff, Sonic sets out on a whirlwind cross-country race to recover his rings and thwart the scientist's plans for world domination. A nimble, nod-packed family action-comedy that pairs the video game's rush with a story about finding a home and true friends.
