A stolen diamond of incalculable value sets in motion a chaotic chain of greed that entangles a colorful cast of the London underworld. Unscrupulous boxing promoters, violent bookmakers, a cold Russian gangster, amateur thieves and a fearsome butcher cross paths and betray one another in their scramble to get hold of the stone. In parallel, an underground fight organizer finds himself trapped by an Irish Gypsy boxer as unpredictable as he is unintelligible. Guy Ritchie delivers a breakneck crime comedy of razor-sharp dialogue, devilish structure and black humor, the trademark of British gangster cinema.
