A pet chameleon with delusions of being an actor gets lost in the middle of the Mojave Desert and lands in Dirt, a wretched, dusty town straight out of the purest western, peopled by hardened, thirsty animals. Taking the name Rango and boasting about invented exploits, the lizard is named sheriff by desperate townsfolk who see in him their savior against a mysterious water crisis. Now he'll have to live up to his role and uncover the truth before his charade gives him away. Gore Verbinski delivers dazzling, grown-up animation, a tribute to the classic western laced with eccentric humor. A visually masterful oddity with the voice of Johnny Depp.
