In a futuristic, neon-lit Berlin, Leo, a bartender mute since childhood and of firm convictions, sees his girlfriend vanish without a trace. Unable to speak but determined to find her, he ventures into the city's underworld, an underbelly of mobs, clubs and unscrupulous surgeons. His search pits him against two American army deserters as charismatic as they are sinister. A science-fiction thriller of dense atmosphere and cyberpunk aesthetics, conceived as a companion piece to 'Moon', that leans into a melancholy tone and moral ambiguity.
