This animated fantasy follows Sam Greenfield, the unluckiest person alive, who stumbles into the magical, never-before-seen Land of Luck and must team up with its resident creatures — including a giant, luck-dispensing dragon and a black cat considered unlucky by human standards — to reverse her fortune before it's too late. Directed by Peggy Holmes for Apple TV+ via Skydance Animation, the film builds a colorful mythology contrasting the mechanics of good and bad luck as parallel bureaucracies. Eva Noblezada and Simon Pegg lead the voice cast in a story about self-acceptance dressed in bright, kid-friendly fantasy-adventure packaging. It marked one of Skydance Animation's early theatrical-style releases for the streaming platform.
