Dave Lizewski is an ordinary, anonymous teenager and comic book fan who one day decides to become a superhero despite having no superpowers, no training and no reason to do so, taking to the streets in a wetsuit under the alias Kick-Ass. His clumsy exploits go viral, but he soon finds himself caught up in a real war against organized crime, where he encounters a lethally trained father and daughter, Big Daddy and Hit-Girl. Matthew Vaughn adapts Mark Millar's comic into a raunchy, violent and very funny reinvention of the superhero genre that cheerfully subverts the vigilante fantasy.
