Mike Milo, once a rodeo star and now a washed-up veteran horse breeder, takes on a final job from his former boss: to cross the border and bring back from Mexico his teenage son, whom he barely knows. What begins as a simple mission becomes a journey of mutual learning along the dusty roads of the south, amid escapes, a fighting rooster named Macho and the dream of a simpler life. A slow, sentimental twilight western about redemption and belated maturity.
