Disney's enchanting blend of live action and animation stars Angela Lansbury as Miss Price, an eccentric Englishwoman studying witchcraft by correspondence during World War II who reluctantly takes in three evacuee children from London. Together, they embark on a magical journey via an enchanted bedknob that can transport them anywhere, including an animated undersea kingdom and a climactic battle against Nazi invaders using bewitched suits of armor. The film combines Sherman Brothers songs, spectacular visual effects, and Lansbury's irresistible performance into a grand family adventure. A beloved classic that captures the same spirit of wartime British resilience and fantasy escapism as Mary Poppins.
