Director Steve Pink's teen comedy pits freewheeling, self-directed learning against the rigid conformity of a caricatured rival fraternity-dominated school, tapping into mid-2000s anxieties about the college-admissions rat race. A modest hit with a devoted cult following, it's remembered fondly as an underdog comedy with an unusually sincere message beneath its raunchy setup.
