Mitsuru Hirata
Actor
73 years (Nov 2, 1953)Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan
Mitsuru Hirata is, by now, a veteran Japanese actor whose name has been turning up in credits for decades. 'Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters' remains the reference point, thanks largely to Thug. 'Fukushima 50' is a second title with real reach. Drama accounts for the largest share of the work. Steady employment, rather than one breakout, gives the career its shape.
