Michael Nightingale is the sort of actor whose accumulated screen time beats that of most leading names. Elsewhere on the filmography sits 'Carry On Camping'. The career opened quietly, the way most long ones do. The bulk of the career has been spent in comedy. Counting cinema and television together, the tally passes 41 titles. For much of the audience, Michael Nightingale is Museum Tourist from 'The Return of the Pink Panther', whatever else the credits say.
