Maria d'Aires has been in the trade long enough to be called a veteran actress with a career measured in decades rather than seasons. The early stretch of the career is the part least seen today. The career now covers more than 33 years. The role of Panicky Woman 2 in 'The Man Who Killed Don Quixote' is the one that keeps being brought up. 'Night Train to Lisbon' is the other credit that tends to come up.
