In a business that burns through people quickly, Marcel Cuvelier is a long-distance runner with a career measured in decades rather than seasons. his Le Réceptionniste du Motel in 'Elevator to the Gallows' is the best-remembered role on the list. 'Le Doulos' belongs on any short list of his work. Television and film have both stayed in regular use across the career.
