Time and sheer volume of work have made Joanna David a veteran actress recognizable to viewers well beyond any single title. The first credits arrived long before the title most people know. Drama accounts for the largest share of the work. She has been working on screen for more than 58 years. For much of the audience, Joanna David is Alan's Mother from 'You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger', whatever else the credits say. She also turns up in 'The Cleansing Hour'.
