Il dottor Ordway somministra a un giovane malato di diabete una fiala di insulina che il paziente ha con sé e scopre, in ritardo, che è in realtà un veleno mortale. Decide allora di indagare e viene coinvolto in numerosi attentati, che lo rendono temporaneamente cieco. Fingendo però di essere ancora privo della vista, Ordway riesce a scoprire il mandante del delitto.
