Long careers are rarer than they look, and Holger Perfort has become a familiar face who has seen the business change around him more than once. The most visible line on the filmography is 'Babette's Feast' (Karlsen). 'Europa' is the other credit that tends to come up. It began in 1955, at the age of 30. Whatever else appears, drama runs right through the filmography. The career has been split between cinema and television rather than settled in either.
