Careers this long are unusual: Gérard Lanvin is a French actor who has rarely been away from the screen for long. Playing Un membre du cirque(non crédité) in 'The Wing or the Thigh?' put him in front of the widest audience of the career. 'Mesrine: Public Enemy #1' is close behind in visibility. He started at 26. Work has kept arriving for 50 years, which is its own kind of achievement.
