Born in Ankara in 1992, Esra Bilgic is a Turkish actress who became internationally famous as Halime Sultan, the wife of Ertugrul Bey, in the historical drama Dirilis: Ertugrul (2014). The series played across Turkey, the Muslim world and South Asia, and turned her into an unusually cross-cultural celebrity, especially in Pakistan. She followed it with the romantic crime drama Ramo (2020) and continued to alternate leading and supporting roles in Turkish television.
