Edith Evanson

In a business that burns through people quickly, Edith Evanson is a long-distance runner who has spent far more time working than being talked about. 56 credits across 86 years is a rate most careers never reach. In cinemas, 'Rope' is the work that stuck — Mrs. Wilson, specifically. Viewers may also know her from 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'. 1940 is the year the filmography opens.
