Aoba Watasa ist in der Highschool und führt ein normales Leben. Am ersten Tag nach den Sommerferien, wird er von einem Roboter attackiert. Während seiner Flucht durch die Stadt, taucht plötzlich seine Klassenkameradin Hina in ihrem eigenen Mecha auf. Sie rettet ihn und erzählt ihm etwas Rätselhaftes: "Dio wartet auf dich" und verschwindet daraufhin. So beginnt Aoba ein neues Leben als Pilot der Free Treaty Alliance gegen die Zogiria Republik.
