Claudio Castrogiovanni has the profile of a jobbing Italian actor, the sort of name that reassures a producer more than it excites a marketing department. With 18 titles behind him, this is a working record rather than a highlight reel. 'Malena' is the most widely seen title on the filmography. 'Golden Men' accounts for a good share of the rest of the recognition. More often than not, the job has been drama.
