Charles Middleton has spent most of a working life as an American actor whose work covers more eras of the industry than most. The career opened quietly, the way most long ones do. Neither the cinema nor the television half of the career can be called the side project. The film 'The Grapes of Wrath' accounts for more of the public profile than anything else does. He also turns up in 'Duck Soup'.
