André Chaumeau has spent most of a working life as a French actor who has spent far more time working than being talked about. The career opened quietly, the way most long ones do. He has worked in comedy more often than in any other register. The filmography runs to some 37 credits between film and television. Among all the titles, 'Asterix and Obelix Take On Caesar' is the one that reached the widest audience. Viewers may also know him from 'Germinal'.
